Happened to stumble upon (credit a bit of doom scrolling for that stumble) a story about Wisconsin and our cheese industry dominance that probably should have gotten a little more attention than it did. Although Food & Wine Magazine is a pretty high bar when you think about it! We’re really good at making cheese in Wisconsin and this story highlights some of our best. Give it a read:

High on my Wisconsin bucket list is the Apostle Islands. About two years ago, Congressman (and now gubernatorial candidate) Tom Tiffany proposed it should become a national park. For those of us who are novices when it comes to national parks and tourism, this seems like a good thing on its face. But in learning more about it and listening to people who actually live in the area, it’s more complicated than that.

You all learned more about my social media/phone addiction and my attempts to disrupt it this week. After years of prioritizing reading the news rather than books, I am now in a phase of life where I’m trying to retrain my brain to slow down and actually read a book. I tend to be drawn to non-fiction so I can learn tnew things, however this article is making a strong argument for more fiction.
